I guess the technology that is heavy on my mind currently is medical technology. Just three weeks ago my 12 year old son had a brain tumor removed. When my husband and I went with him into the operating room (until he went to sleep) the room was filled with equipment to accomplish the operation. My son was speaking to us a half hour after the five hour operation. Incredible!

It is amazing, isn't it? I guess we don't often realize how lucky we are to live in such a medically advanced age (or so we think now). I looked up a surgery I had just eleven years ago that took a year to recover from---turns out that it has now been replaced by a simple out-patient procedure! Unbelievable.
I think I speak for everyone when I say that I am so glad things turned out well for your son, and I hope that he makes a full recovery. :)
